Royal souvenirs from London

General My Collection

Do you also have the feeling you always travel with too much luggage? No, I wasn’t going to buy much in London, where I was visiting from 14 to 17 March. I think I left home with only 6 kilos or so, and ended up taking 11 kilos back home.

I bought some clothing that I absolutely needed, and of course several postcards to send to family and friends. I almost ended up buying a toy corgi, but decided not to. I am certain that as soon as the film The Queen’s Corgi is in the cinemas in the UK they will sell out very quickly. But as you see above I got a royal apron, a royal bag, royal tea (I already had the same one from the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s wedding), a few royal notebooks …

Books? I decided not to, but when visiting Waterstones at Piccadilly I found a thriller that I liked, and Royal Rebel by Carina Axelsson – the partner of Prince Gustav zu Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg – and it was even a signed copy. In my last hours in London I found two more books at the Kensington Palace shop: A dress for Diana and the cookbook the Duchess of Sussex has been working on.

The Hello was bought to read on the way back home in the plane, while I got the newest Majesty from managing editor Joe Little when visiting him at his tiny office in London. My first visit to the new office, although we met several times before and have known each other for certainly 13 years, if not more.

  1. Thanks so much for showing us what you bought! What a treat! I’m so jealous. I want to plan a trip so I can go to London when Prince Charles becomes King.
