The royal wedding season is not over yet. On 16 September another big wedding is to come. However this Saturday, 9 September 2017, already a nice marriage took place. Cecil von Treu married Countess Annunciata von Waldburg zu Zeil und Trauchburg. The couple got married at the St. Georg Church in Ratzenried, Germany.
Two of my friends from the South of Germany traveled to Ratzenried. Stefan and Gabi didn’t really recognize a lot of guests, but say that the guests arrived through two different entrances, which didn’t make it easier tracing them. They saw members of both families, including Fürst Erich and Fürstin Mathilde von Waldburg zu Zeil und Trauchburg, Prince Stefan and Princess Florentine of Liechtenstein, Prince Christoph of Liechtenstein. Lovely was that the bridal couple and their guests had a group photo made on the stairs outside of the church. And of course Stefan and Gabi joined the more official photographers. Really a unique possibility. There was music too, and only afterwards the couple and their guests left, by foot.
The groom was born on 19 December 1987 in Frankfurt-Höchst as the eldest child of Peter von Treu (* 1940) and Michaela Fischer-Jene (* 1950). Cecils great-great-grandfather Hugo Treu (1834-1899) became a member of the Prussian Nobility in 1867 as Hugo von Treu.
(Maria-)Annunciata was born in Tübingen on 24 September 1988 as the eldest child of Count Clemens von Waldburg zu Zeil und Trauchburg (* 1960) and Princess Georgina von und zu Liechtenstein (* 1962).
